Welcome to you all! If you haven’t already noticed, this is my first post and I’m absolutely stoked about it! I have been telling myself that I’d start a blog for about two years now. Here we are today doing it!
Hey there! I’m a mother of four in my early forties, and I recently went through a divorce. Right now, I’m in this transitional phase of life with two kids in college and two who haven’t even started elementary school yet. Just to give you a bit of background about me, I have an associate’s degree in Health Information Management, and on top of that, I’m also a licensed real estate agent. Life sure keeps me busy!
Initially, I wanted to start a blog as a Realtor to help clients with guidance. But I soon realized that wasn’t what I wanted anymore. My focus shifted towards changing my mindset about money, financial stability, and wealth creation. It’s been quite the journey!
My finances are a bit overwhelming right now. I have a mortgage, student loans, credit card debt, family expenses, and a car loan to deal with. Unfortunately, my inconsistent work history has really damaged my credit. Growing up, I learned to focus on necessities rather than wants. However, that led me to overspend on unnecessary things later on.
I’ve always known how to live with less, and I genuinely believe that less is more. So, with that said, I have decided to embark on a new-ish approach in my life, essentially going “back to the basics.” I would like to invite you all along as I revamp my mindset, finances, and lifestyle!
